About Me

I am an author, freelance writer, editor, and educator who lives and works in southwestern Pennsylvania.

With an extensive background in professional writing spanning two decades, as well as eight years of experience in the classroom, I hold a terminal degree in professional writing from Seton Hill University and completed my undergraduate studies in English, Creative Writing, and Journalism at California University of Pennsylvania.

Since graduating from Seton Hill, I’ve worked simultaneously in the fields of academia and journalism, guiding both students and freelance writers to produce their best work.

In addition to writing, editing, and teaching, I’m a recognized expert on Jack the Ripper and have traveled the country speaking (and writing) about the crimes, their implications, and the subsequent investigation(s).

I lead my life with the idea that anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Some of my accomplishments have included:

Teaching composition and communications at the university/college level

Editing and overseeing the general operation of two community newsmagazines

Founding and continuously operating a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization that aimed to preserve and promote the arts in the Mon Valley region

Having my debut novel, The Heart Absent, published

A comprehensive list of my professional and personal achievements can be found on my Curriculum Vitae (C.V.)

I am available for writing, editing, and design projects. Please see my Professional Services page for information about services offered.
